Can you get into the minds of people like the agent did in MindHunter?

Talking to serial killers to understand how they think about killing is a bit of a stretch.

I love crime shows…seriously I do.

But it is super hard for me to find a good crime show. So I decided to watch Mindhunter because there was no other option and many people have already recommended this.

The story was a bit slow for me, and it usually is with crime shows.

But it was reaaaaaally slow.

Nevermind.

In this show, The FBI agent was so intrigued by the idea of knowing how these stupid serial killers think. He talks to them and finds out the reason why did they murder someone.

Mostly because they have a bad childhood and was tortured. And bad childhood can lead to bad things. Trust me.

I saw both season and it was a good watch. And then I decided to do the same. Ask people why they make some decisions.

Trying to be an FBI agent but without a title.

I ask someone why are you working 15 hours a day.

Answer: I like working or I want to retire early or I need financial freedom (whatever that means)

I ask someone why do they study till they are 32.

Answer: I want to specialise in my field.

I ask someone why do they save money like a real hoarder and not travel around often (this guy is 1 million away from being rich)

Answer: financial safety and investment.

You get the point!

People do what they do when they have goals. Or more precisely, want to achieve something. These serial killers want to get over negativity and since felt no other choice then to chop chop.

The bottom line is…

Sometimes you can’t shut negativity around you. But you can learn to cut the noise. Don’t ever let negativity consume you or bad things happen.

Life lesson: you are on your own in this life so choose your thoughts wisely. It can make or break you.

Take a chill pill.
